A cultural hub, nearly 200 years old but accessible!

Overview
I have been going to gigs here ever since I moved to Edinburgh, seeing the likes of Lemon Jelly, Elbow, The Unthanks, King Creosote and most recently Tinariwen last night. It has been refurbished over the years and currently it is looking a bit tired but the Scottish Government has recently awarded it money for historic fabric repairs for 2019. This is a good venue where you can see a decent band in a venue with good sound. Normally I would see bands from the folk scene here but they sometimes have the occasional rock, pop and classical concerts.
Transport & Parking
Good selection of public buses, 2, 3, 5, 8, 29, 30, 33, 49 but on street parking would be tricky.
Access
The access has been thought out very well, however there is no designated accessible spaces or platform from I can remember. It would be best to check with the venue as they are very accommodating.
Toilets
The accessible loo is a bit tired looking, see pic, needs upgrading but it does what t says on the tin?!
Staff
Always very polite, helpful and communicate respectfully. A friend who works their is disabled and is always very proud of their accessibility.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The venue told me that many promoters that put on the gigs do offer carer tickets and just ask when at the box office or ringing up. I have done both, when using the Text to speech service NGTS on the phone they were very good and listened and did not panic.
