Venue Description
The Anglers Rest is a unique and special place. In 2013 it was purchased by over 300, mostly local people. It is now run for the benefit of the community and includes a pub, cafe and Post Office. Walkers, cyclists and dogs welcome. Vegetarians, vegan and gluten free catered for. The Anglers Rest has 2 designated disabled parking spaces adjacent to the café entrance. The café is situated across 3 levels with the entrance from the car park on the highest level and the entrance at the front of the building and the café counter on the lowest level. There is also an accessible outside seating area with 2 wheelchair friendly picnic benches. There is an accessible toilet which is on the same level as the top level in the café.Accessibility
There are three main entrances, two on the front, one directly into the Post Office and café, the other into the pub. There is bell on the outside of the entrance to the Post Office to request assistance. The road outside the pub where the main entrances are situated has a narrow pavement that is uneven in places. Both entrances at the front have small steps. It is possible to drop off customers outside the main entrances. The third entrance is directly from the car park into the café with level access from the car park.
