By Train or Tram - Leave Rochdale station and walk towards the river. Cross the concourse and walk up Yorkshire Street until you reach the Baum passage on the left (sign- posted for the museum). We are opposite St Mary’s in the Baum Church. Please note trains from Manchester to Rochdale are much faster than Metrolink trams, however, you may wish to get the tram from Rochdale station into Rochdale centre as this will significantly reduce the distance you would then need to walk to the museum. To walk to the museum from Rochdale Train Station takes approx. 20 mins. By bus- The closest bus stop to the museum is Rochdale Interchange. This is approx. a 10 min walk from the museum.
Parking
We do not have any parking available, however, across the road from the museum there is a large multi-storey carpark with a dedicated floor for disabled parking (Level 3). The car park has lifts to all floors and the car park entrance is approximately 110m from the front door of the museum. There is no reduction in charges for disabled parkers. There is also free disabled parking available at Reed Hill Car Park, approximately 130m along Hunter's Lane, however there are only 8 bays available so visitors may not be able to park here during busier times. If driving please do not use our postcode as it will take you to the wrong side of the bypass either use the multi-storey carparks postcode OL161YL or search for "Rochdale pioneers museum" in your navigation software.
