Rochdale Pioneers Museum

Rochdale Pioneers Museum, Rochdale, OL12 0NU, United Kingdom | 01706524920 | Website

Venue Description

Rochdale Pioneers Museum celebrates the birthplace of the modern co-operative movement - 31 Toad Lane, Rochdale. At the museum we have exhibitions exploring the history of British Co-ops, especially the Rochdale Pioneers Society, credited with creating the blueprint of a modern retail co-operative. Our friendly team are always willing to chat and answer any questions visitors may have, we also hold regular community events and strive to be a safe and welcoming space for all.

Accessibility

There is a drop curb opposite the museum entrance, however the museum is on a cobbled street so access is uneven. Inside the museum we have a lift to all floors and a fully accessible toilet, including grab handles and rails, a red cord alarm and lower level sink & mirror. All toilets are checked and cleaned regularly. Most doors are not automatic, but staff are willing to help with doors or any other issues. We have baby changing facilities, but unfortunately do not have an adult changing space.
