The nearest railway station is Edinburgh Waverley, situated on Waverley Bridge. It is approximately 10 minutes walk from Edinburgh Waverley to the Grassmarket Community Project. The nearest bus stops are located a 3 minute walk along Grassmarket, outside Petit Paris restaurant for the number 2. Forrest Road which is a 4minute walk past Greyfriars Grave for numbers 2, 9, 23, 27, 35 and 45. There is metered parking available in the Grassmarket, which charges £7.20 an hour and has a maximum stay of 4 hours. Paid parking is operational Monday to Saturday 08:30 - 18:30 and Sunday 12:30 - 18:30. The nearest carpark is Castle Terrace NCP. Castle Terrace has 750 spaces and charges £11.90 for 2 hours. They are open 24 hours and have no maximum stay. The quickest route walking from Waverly Station to GCP is as follows: Take the main exit out of Waverley Station up the ramp. Turn left at the top of the ramp, and at the mini roundabout turn right up the hill. At the top of the road, turn left onto the mound and continue round until the crossroads with the Royal Mile. Cross straight over the crossroads and continue down George IV Bridge, passing the libraries on both sides. Look out for the Greyfriars Bobby Statue on the right-hand side. Go down the street just past this heading almost back on yourself. This is Candlemaker Row. Grassmarket Community Project is on the left-hand side, by the mini roundabout. GCP is the glass fronted building set back from the courtyard.
