Venue Description

Located in central Edinburgh during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Fringe Central is available to any and all performers, producers, company members, arts industry or members of the media wanting to make use of our services and meet up with fellow Fringe participants. We offer support on all aspects of participating in the Fringe and practical services for those visiting it, such as access to printing services and free Wi-Fi.  Should you need more information or assistance please contact Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society.

Accessibility

Ground floor level access to reception, café area, theatre main hall and Artist Services office which has a quiet space and Health in Mind mental health and wellbeing support. A ramp is provided at the main entrance on a slight slope. Upstairs is home to our Media and Arts Industry team. An access lift is available to be used by those with additional access requirements. The lift is accessible by acquiring the key from the reception desk on the ground floor. Toilets

On the ground floor there are two toilet blocks, one which contains two urinals and one cubicle, the other contains four cubicles. The entrance door is at least 69cm wide x 202 cm tall. Three gender neutral toilets are located on the first floor which are all single cubicle toilets. The entry to these bathrooms is at least 69cm wide by 202 cm tall. The single cubicle bathrooms are 160cm x 108 cm. Accessible toilets are on the ground floor and first floor, and the accessible toilet on the ground floor also has baby changing facilities. The upstairs accessible WC entrance door is 79 cm wide x 203 cm tall. The room measures 225 cm (about 7.38 ft) x 183 cm (about 6 ft). The downstairs accessible WC has an entrance door which is 79.3 cm (about 2.6 ft) wide by 203 cm (about 6.66 ft) tall. The room measures 207 cm x 262 cm. Hand dryers can be found in all the toilets. Paper towels will be available upon request from the Fringe Central reception desk.

Staff

Fringe Central is made up of 3 main teams, Artist Services, Arts Industry and Media. Alongside them we have our Fringe Central Reception staff. There are registered first aid staff within each team. Assistance dog facilities

Assistance dog exercise facilities

Assistance dogs are always welcome. Grassmarket Community Project has a bowl in their courtyard and readily replenishes water. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society can also provide bowls for dogs on request from the reception. The closest dog exercise facilities are in Greyfriars Kirkyard immediately behind our building.
