Overview

I used the Neatebox Welcome App and was met by Heather with a chair, who took me to Customer Assistance. Thomas knew about my needs through Welcome and I was taken to Luggage check in and back to Cusomer Assistance. Kenny, who was brilliant, then took me right through Security to the Gate and then on to the Aircraft steps. It could not have been better. Loganaire booked me a chair at both Airports, Edinburgh and Kirkwall. I could not have managed without help and would certainly not have made the trip. (The only downside was that Welcome was not available at Kirkwall and without help from their information desk who found me a chair I would have had to make myself known at the check in desk before getting a chair.) Edinburgh Airport help was really good.

Transport & Parking

I arrived by taxi and presumable this was registered with Welcome since a chair arrived. There is an assistance bell at the taxi rank I believe but I did not see it. If you drive the car park is close to the drop off and I assume if you book with Welcome you would be met but if not there is a walk to customer service.

Access

Toilets

There was one accessible loo airside that I saw but it seemed to be continually engaged so I had to use the normal facility.

Staff

I could not fault Kenny who took us right through security to the aircraft ensuring that it was trouble free and helping us manage crutches chair luggage and system.

Not being travellers We could not have managed without the help we received and the systems put in place.
