Getting Here
Edinburgh Airport has a comprehensive choice of public transport options. You can arrive at Edinburgh Airport via car, taxi or bus. Soon you will also be able to arrive by tram. One of the most common means of transport to and from the airport is via the Lothian Buses’ Airlink 100 service. This leaves from Waverley Station in the city centre and take approximately 30 minutes to arrive at the airport. Lothian Buses’ 35 service runs to the city centre and on to Ocean Terminal, with stops including RBS World Headquarters, the Scottish Parliament and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Buses run every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime and every 30 minutes evenings and Sundays. The Jet 747 service connects Edinburgh Airport with Halbeath Park and Ride via Ratho Station, South Queensferry, Ferrytoll Park & Ride and Inverkeithing rail station. Ratho Station provides an opportunity to interchange onto other services and both Halbeath and Ferrytoll connect to Megabus and other Fife services. The non-stop Citylink service from Edinburgh Airport to Glasgow provides regular links to Glasgow city centre where there is an opportunity to connect to local Glasgow services. The night bus N22 service runs from the airport via South Gyle to the city centre and on to Ocean Terminal in Leith between 00:47 and 04:17, seven nights a week. Edinburgh's main rail stations, Waverley and Haymarket, are in the city centre. Rail passengers can get between airport and station by taxi or by bus. The Airlink 100 service calls at Waverley and Haymarket stations. Journey times are 25 to 30 minutes in normal traffic. A night bus, the N22, also runs between Waverley station and the airport. Alternatively, the Jet 747 bus links the airport with Inverkeithing rail station in Fife.
