Hoping to share this with others so they don’t face the same issues. Having shared my feedback directly they were really unhelpful and passed me on to service provider who are not replying. Due to a brain tumour removal I am confined to a wheelchair, due to having issues with balance,this was my first flight since the operation and I was very apprehensive about it. On Wednesday the 5th June, I was booked in to fly with eurowings from Edinburgh airport to Stuttgart. I was travelling with family. I confirmed with assistance that we would manage ourselves through security but I would need assistance at the gate to board. Myself and my husband waited while all the other passengers boarded. We waited for 1.5 hours for someone to come to help me get onto the plane and then they didn’t have a suitable chair and so I had to walk onto the full plane of passengers who had also been waiting, between my husband and one of your staff. Absolutely humiliating. Once arrived in Stuttgart I was pleasantly surprised that assistance were there and helped me straight off after all passengers disembarked. Confidence in air travel restored! I returned on the 10th June and I was helped onto the plane with no issues. However when I arrived back in Edinburgh. All passengers disembarked after landing, I waited again with my husband for 45/50 minutes for assistance off the plane. It took so long for assistance to arrive that Eurowings had the other passengers boarded for their return flight. I felt extremely embarrassed and again humiliated! Not to mention we had our 5 year old daughter with us, luckily could be looked after by our other family members on the flight and the affects of these shocking events to my ongoing journey. Currently these situations have disheartened me from travelling by air again and if I do become brave enough, I will definitely NOT be travelling from Edinburgh.
