Overview
The accessible room was also a family room which was great for us. A lovely view of the Lake and good food and beer. Great location
Transport & Parking
There is disabled parking spaces but they were usually taken by non blue badgers and the staff were not helpful in tracking down the owners. I was allowed to park in a "do not park here" place blocking entrance to the watersports hut but at least we had a place. Call in advance and ask them to reserve the space.
Access
A ramp into the hostel and good wheel in shower. Double bed with plenty of space.
Toilets
Large bathroom with good grab rails and role in shower. I couldn't use the flip down seat but almost never found a pubic shower that has adequate support in a shower - used by own chair with tower over front wheel to prevent too much water over my castors
Staff
friendly and helpful but not when it came to taking misuse of parking bays seriously
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Accessible ferry just 200 yards away so great place to hop on to the water and down the lake to Windermere. Good choice of local beers and the food not bad either. I could get into and use the kitchens but no provision for under the sink knee space. Better get the kids to wash up anyway.
