Situated right on the shores of Lake Windermere, this Youth Hostel offers unbeatable location, stunning views and state of the art facilities for families, solo travellers and groups looking for a base right in the centre of the Lake District National Park.
Accessibility
There is a permanent concrete ramp to access the front door. Our public facilities, such as lounge, dining room, cafe bar and self-catering kitchen, are all on the ground floor and have step-free access; however, please be aware that all doors need to be opened manually. Also on the ground floor there is step-free access to a bedroom which can sleep up to four people. There is a double bed and a bunk bed inside. The bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom fitted with grab-rails and a roll in shower. Transfer onto the toilet is left-handed.

There is a grass are at the front of the hostel; from the car park there are two steps down to a paved path and the grass is on either side. There is a larger green area in Borrans Park; this is approximately a 3 minute walk from the Hostel.
