Venue Description
Windmill Hill City Farm was formed in 1976 by a volunteer group of local residents determined to see a piece of inner city wasteland put to more productive use, giving the local community the opportunity to experience farming in the heart of the city. It offers educational, recreational and therapeutic facilities and activities for local people including a range of farmyard animals, community gardens, picnic area, café serving home-made food, an adventure playground, community building with meeting spaces, a five-a-side pitch, environmental and craft-based courses, and a nursery for children aged from nine months to five years old.
Accessibility
Windmill Hill City Farm is fully accessible for disabled visitors. Some of the terrain on the farm site is slightly uneven, however the whole area is only on one level and so is fairly easy to get around.
