Whether you’re passionate about trees, or just looking for somewhere beautiful to escape to, Westonbirt’s 15,000 trees from around the globe make it a remarkable place to enjoy. Westonbirt has roots in Victorian plant collecting, but with trees laid out to be picturesque rather than in any botanical order, Westonbirt is now one of the most mature and extraordinary arboretums to be found anywhere in the world. Accessibility

Admission: the cost of admission includes free entry for one essential carer per disabled visitor. Scooter and wheelchair loan: wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available from the Welcome Building. Please book in advance by calling Visitor Services on 0300 067 4861. Accessible paths: there are DDA approved paths from the Welcome Building to main facilities, along with 11 miles of hard paths accessible for wheelchairs, scooters and buggies. Due to the terrain the use of three wheel electric scooters is not advised. There are rest benches throughout the arboretum.

Toilets

Disabled toilets: disabled toilets can be found in the Welcome Building. Changing Place: a registered Changing Place can be found in the toilet block close to the Great Oak Hall, including height adjustable changing bed and a ceiling hoist.

Assistance dog exercise facilities

Assistance dogs are welcome at Westonbirt Arboretum. They are able to roam off the lead in our dog friendly area, Silk Wood, but on the lead in the Old Arboretum.

Water is provided for dogs near to the Welcome Building, visitor services office and restaurant.
