Venue Description

Wendy's Wing at Greetham Retreat is a superior 1 bedroom self catering holiday cottage which is also pet friendly. It in one of 5 holiday cottages here at Greetham Retreat but is the best choice for those with mobility restrictions or limitations as it is all on one level on the ground floor, benefits from having wider internal doors and level access with a fully tiled wet-room with shower, WC and wash hand basin. The open plan living area has real wood flooring with leather sofas, oak dining table and chairs plus modern wall mounted flat screen HDTV and DVD player. It also includes the open plan a fully equipped modern kitchen, with oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge with large freezer compartment. The bedroom has zip and link pocket sprung mattress which can be set up as either a super king size double bed (6ft wide) or as twin single beds (each 3ft wide), whichever you prefer. The bedroom also has a flat screen TV. All bed linen, towels, full central heating and all utilities (electricity & water etc) are supplied and provided free of charge during your stay. We also accept up to 2 dogs or other pets in this cottages. There is a disabled level parking space right outside Wendy's Wing. We can also provided mobility aids like a raised toilet seat, toilet frame, grab handles and sofa raisers (elephants feet) if required. Accessibility

Wendy's Wing is all on one-level and on the ground floor. It has extra wide internal and external doors and a level threshold entrance door. Block paved accessible/disabled parking pay right next to cottage with level approach to and from front door about 5 metres distance. The cottage also benefits from having a fully tiled wet-room with WC, shower and wash hand basin. The bedroom has a zip and link bed that can be set up as a super-king size double or as twin single beds. The living area has a real wood floor and is open plan. This cottage is most suitable for assisted wheelchair users or those with some mobility restrictions or limitations. We can also provided a raised toilet seat, toilet frame, shower stool, grab handles and sofa raisers/blocks/elephants feet if required.

Accessible Performances

We provided self catering accommodation only. However our holiday cottages are set in over 4 acres of private parkland grounds with wildlife ponds, wildflower meadows and woodland areas all of which attract much wildlife. All of this is available to all our guests and is right on your doorstep. So if you are interested in wildlife or conservation then Greetham Retreat and its holiday cottages would be an ideal choice for you.

Toilets

Wendy's Wing is all on one level and has an ensuite wet room directly off the bedroom. This wet room is fully tiled and has a non-slip floor. There is a fixed grab handle in the shower. We can also supply a shower stool if required. All internal doors are wider than normal and suitable for wheelchair users.

Staff

We do not employ any staff at Greetham Retreat and all contact and support will be provided by the owners Jeanette or Rob Folwell who live about 100 metres away from the holiday cottages in their own home. The owners will always meet you on arrival to hand over keys and will show you how to operate all the appliances and equipment etc in your cottage when you arrive. They also like to signpost you to the wide variety of attractions available in the area . As they live on site, they are also available to you to ask any questions or to resolve any issues that may arise.

The holiday cottages are set in over 4 acres of private parkland grounds. Dogs can be exercised (on leads please) in these grounds.
