Venue Description

This Museum brings industrial history to life in a 150-year time capsule of working engines and social history, which tells the story of drinking water supply, and has something for all the family – including a unique Heritage Water Park for children. The Museum prides itself in offering a hands-on learning experience for all members of the Community including visitors who need support to fully enjoy the Museum’s collection. 'Excellent wheelchair access to all parts of the museum, the exception being the hydraulic ram in the well area and even here access has been considered where a close circuit tv has been put in to allow wheelchair users to see.' The Museum is wholly operated by Volunteers - the knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment of who is regularly commented upon in visitor feedback.
