Overview
We visited the V and A museum while staying in the area. There is no park for the museum, but there is one at the. Discovery Quay Its a Pay And display car park that is also used for the premier inn , Beefeater steakhouse and the Discovery centre and boat. The car park does have blue badge spaces. The v and a is then a short walk from here. Entry to the museum is all level and there is. A lift to take you up to the other floors. Plenty of space between the exhibits to get around. Lots of information cards in the display units . They also have a paid exhibit this one was on recycling . Entry is free for everyone unless you wish to visit the special exhibition. Items on display focus on Scottish made or have a Scottish link . It’s not a very big museum so didn’t take long to get round. There is also a cafe. We had visited here not long after it had opened. We went back as we were under the impression the exhibits would change but they had not and were the same as our first visit.
Transport & Parking
Parking is in the pay and display near the discovery centre. There are blue badge spaces but these are not free. It’s all level for the car park to gain access to the pavement that takes you to the premiere inn, Beefeater steakhouse, discovery quay and v and a museum.
Access
Entry to the museum is all level and there is a lift to get to all floors . There are seats in some of the exhibit rooms , easy to get round in either a scooter or wheelchair. With information at a good height for a wheelchair user to read.
