Overview
The V and A in Dundee is a joy to visit. Fully accessible, beautiful building and friendly staff on every occasion I have visited.
Transport & Parking
Next to train station (it has a lift) and across two sets of traffic lights with accessible pedestrian crossing. It's not an easy route from bus station however most buses stop in city centre. Downhill to museum, level pavements and crossings. Council car park nearby (beside Discovery and Riverside). Disabled parking is at far side near restaurant but blue badge holders can park free anywhere. Note access to car park from West bound carriageway only.
Access
Automatic doors and level access to entrance. Wide open areas, 2 lifts available. My favourite is the glass lift in main concourse. Everything in building is wheelchair accessible including the restaurant and outside balcony. I used my small mobility scooter in the building (phoned ahead to confirm ok). No issues manoeuvring around exhibition, shop or building.
Toilets
Two accessible toilets, one on ground floor beside shop near internal lift. Another above near restaurant. Large enough for a power chair and/or carer.
Staff
Extremely welcoming, friendly, helpful with enquiries and made my visits a pleasure.
