Venue Description
Hospitality was built in with the bricks at this cosy hotel ever since it started life as a one room coaching inn back in 1759. Sitting snug in a small Renfrewshire village, it is well placed for exploring Burns country and visiting the nearby shopping centres of Silverburn or Braehead. Glasgow itself is not far away and the hotel attracts diners from the city who are lured by its two AA Rosettes. The Uplawmoor’s much lauded restaurant was originally a beamed barn but, while its roots may have been humble, the food served there now is rather more ambitious. Modern Scottish with the occasional Mediterranean influence is the main thrust of the menu with dishes such as the seared king scallops paired with Stornoway black pudding taking pride of place. The ever popular steaks come from five different local farms but game also plays a star role with venison and pigeon sometimes featuring. Uplawmoor Hotel is 7 miles from Stewarton and close to Lugton, Neilston and BarrheadAccessibility
