Venue Description

Underbelly's Circus Hub is home to the best of international circus at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. 5th - 27th August 2022

Accessibility

There is ramped access throughout the site and into both performance venues. As the festival takes place in a park, some areas of the site are on grass so please ask a member of staff if you require any assistance to access these areas. There is solid flooring between all key areas of the site including the venues, toilets and bar. The Lafayette has raked seating with the front 2 rows at floor level. The Beauty is fully accessible apart from the booths which are accessed via 2 steps. In both venues, seating can be removed to accommodate manual and powered wheelchairs. Please enquire with the box office if you have any questions about different sections of seating. The box office counter has a dropped window to facilitate access. The bar also has a low-level section of the counter. The food concessions do not have a low-level counter section; however staff are more than happy to come out from behind the counter to take your order. There is a range of toilet facilities including all-gender toilets, an accessible toilet and baby-changing facilities. Service dogs are welcomed everywhere and water bowls can be provided if required. A large print version of menus for the bar and food concessions are available.

Toilets

There is an accessible toilet located within the main toilet area of the site. The toilet unit is accessed by a shallow ramp. The door opens outwards and is wide enough for both manual and powered wheelchairs. Inside, there are are fixed handrails and drop-down rails to assist with self-transfer between a wheelchair and the toilet. All handrails are colour-contrasting. There is a low level sink with sensor taps installed.
