Overview
Beautiful, historic 'movie hall' cinema has goodwill, but needs better disabled access. A able-bodied cinema-lover's dream, but less so a disabled one's....
Transport & Parking
Blue badge spot directly outside, buses with disabled access on the Cowley Road. Reasonably accessible.
Access
There's a step into the cinema, but they'll put up a portable ramp to allow you to get in. It's not possible to get a wheelchair to the box office. Inside the cinema, you can place your wheelchair at the front or near the back. It's small, so views are OK.
Toilets
This is the killer. The toilets are down a staircase below the stage. Absolute disaster for the disabled. There's a disabled loo in the locked church opposite & you might try George & Davis ice-cream over the road for a loo.
Staff
Lovely helpful staff. They'll do what they can.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
If they could find a way of getting an accessible toilet (very difficult, as it's a tiny historic building - lovingly restored), that would make a huge difference.
