This reputation is founded upon our commitment to the presentation of the most innovative work by Scottish and international artists. The very distinctive architecture, character and history of the venue itself have ensured that Tramway is a unique place to produce and experience the best in contemporary art. A hugely versatile and flexible space, our vision is to inspire and add to our understanding of today’s world by connecting audiences and artists. Tramway is a space where you are welcomed to witness, engage, experience, participate, to be challenged and to learn. Tramway consists of two theatre spaces, two visual arts exhibitions spaces, upstairs participation studio, upper foyer exhibition space, and Café Bar.

Accessibility

Access from Albert Drive (Tramway's main entrance) is level and through one set of automated doors. The majority of Tramway's event spaces are located on ground level and access to all other levels is attained by a passenger lift which is fitted with information in Braille. Please contact Tramway prior to your visit if you have any additional requirements. Accessible Performances

These can be used for audio described performances and to amplify sound. Please ask at reception if you would like to use this equipment. Tramway 4 and the Box Office have a hard wire loop system, please set your hearing aid to 'T'. Browse Aloud facility is available on the Glasgow Life website. Toilets

Ground Level – 2 in main foyer. Toilet One is 2m x 2m, with baby change facility. Toilet Two is 1.9m x 1.7m. Mezzanine Level – Toilet is 2m x 1.5m Upper Level – Toilet is 1.9m x 1.5m All these toilets have level access, handrails, alarm cords and easy turn taps and locks.

Staff

The on-site staff will give advice and, where appropriate, practical assistance. Box Office and events staff will give advice at time of booking or enquiry.
