Venue Description

Trafalgar Theatre comprises of 2 intimate and versatile theatre spaces; Studio 1 capacity varies from 400 and Studio 2 from 100. The venue is committed to providing access to all and is accessible for those with all kinds of disabilities, including wheelchair users, those with walking difficulties, hearing difficulties and the blind and partially sighted.

Accessibility

Trafalgar Studios 1 & 2 are accessible for Wheelchair Users. The main entrance to the theatre is on Whitehall. The Foyer, Foyer Bar and Box Office are on street level. For Studio 1 you can enter the foyer step free, take the lift to the lower level then a stair lift brings you to the auditorium. The Wheelchair Spaces are in the front row and are clear view. For Studio 2 access is step free into the foyer, take the lift to the lower level then there is level access into the auditorium. The Wheelchair space is again in the front row & clear view. The theatre provides Infrared hearing loops for patrons who are hard of hearing or with hearing aids, as well as Mobile Connect. Guide Dogs are also welcome at Trafalgar Studios.

Accessible Performances

Yes: we currently offer Captioned and Audio Described performances for our shows in Studio 1. Touch Tours are also often available prior to an Audio Described performance. Please check the website or call 0800 912 6971 for upcoming dates.

Toilets

The disabled toilet is on the lower level in the Studio Bar and can be reached by Wheelchair Users from the foyer via our lift and from both auditoriums.

Staff

There will always be at least 1 access host to help guests before, during and after the performance. There is also a member of the Box Office team with Level 2/3 BSL.
