Getting Here

Metro Monument Metro is only 500ft away (2 mins) from the Theatre Royal entrance and you can travel free on the Metro with your theatre ticket (up to two hours before and after the performance) – simply retain your theatre ticket for inspection by Metro Staff. Bus All major bus routes are close to the Theatre Royal, Market Street runs alongside the Theatre and provides bus links to all areas of the City, alternatively Blackett Street is just next to Monument Metro and also provides other bus links to parts of the City Centre, Haymarket bus station can be found 0.8 miles away (10 mins) through Eldon Square which connects to areas outside of Newcastle such as Northumberland, Gateshead, Sunderland and even Cumbria. Train Central Station is just over 5 minutes walk away at 0.4 miles and is straight down Grainger Street.

Parking

We do not have our own car park due to the location of the theatre in the City Centre however there are two parking spaces for blue badge holders on Shakespeare St. (50ft) and three spaces on Hood St. (200ft) Additionally, most parking meters are free to Blue Badge Holders. No spaces need to be booked and there are no local parking restrictions on Blue Badge holders.
