The Tank Museum brings history to life, with the world’s best collection of tanks and explosive live displays. See almost 300 armoured vehicles as you explore five powerful exhibitions. “The Tank Story” details tank history from 1915 to the present. “Battlegroup Afghanistan” transports you to the modern front line. In “The Discovery Centre”, you’ll see the breadth of our unique collection. Marking the centenary of WW1 “The Trench Experience” takes you back in time to 1916 - and new for 2014, “Warhorse to Horsepower” examines the rise of the tank and the demise of the cavalry.
Accessibility
The Tank Museum has level entry or ramped access for wheelchair users throughout. Lifts enable access to the higher floor. There are also disabled parking bays and a wheelchair friendly spectator’s area in our arena. There are also hearing loops on all of our new audio visual interactives. Guide dogs and Hearing dogs are welcome.
