Venue Description

The Supreme Court is the final court of appeal in the UK for civil cases and for criminal cases from England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It hears cases of the greatest public or constitutional importance affecting the whole population. The public are welcome to observe the hearings, (provided there is space in the public galleries) and to look around the building itself. We are open 9.30 to 1630 Monday to Friday.

Accessibility

The whole building is wheelchair accessible, with disabled access lifts at the main entrance and then lifts to every floor. Apart from the main entrance, doors are not automatic. All the floors are level apart from Courtroom Three, which also has a wheelchair lift.

Awards List

We currently have 4.5 stars (out of 5) on "Trip Advisor" and have been awarded a Certificate of Excellence.

Toilets

All our accessible toilets are DDA compliant, have step- free access with grab rails and "easy turn" locks.

Staff

All ‘front of house’ staff have disability training, but those attending guided tours who need special assistance should inform their group organiser or the Court directly before their visit.
