Getting Here
BY BUS: For local bus information visit the Oxford Bus Company journey planner. The Oxford Tube runs regular coaches from London (Victoria, Marble Arch, Notting Hill) to Oxford, Gloucester Green bus station. Coaches run approximately every 15 minutes. BY CAR: City centre parking and access is limited and we strongly recommend using Oxford’s Park and Ride system wherever possible. Click here for more information. The nearest public car parks are located at the Westgate Shopping Centre and the Oxpens car park on Oxpens Road. Both are a 5 minute walk from The Story Museum. If you need to access Pembroke Street itself by car, please be aware that the street is one-way, with access from St Ebbe’s. BY BIKE: Oxford is famous for being a cycling city and there are a number of cycle paths and routes to reach The Story Museum by bike. Click here to work out your route. Designated cycle parking spots are situated on Broad Street and at Oxford Station. BY TRAIN: The Museum is a 10 minute walk from Oxford Station. Trains run from London Paddington and London Marylebone to Oxford approximately every 30 minutes and journey time varies between an hour and an hour and a half. Parking
There is no parking on The Story Museum site. There are a limited number of Blue Badge parking spaces on St Aldate’s, and in Pembroke Square, very close to the Museum. The nearest carpark to The Story Museum is the Westgate Car Park.
