Now berthed in Leith, Edinburgh, you can discover the heart and soul of this most special of Royal residences. Explore all five decks (with both lift and stair access) of this floating Royal residence with a fascinating audio tour, available in over 30 different languages. Also available in BSL Tablet and Braille Script as well as on British and American Sign Language tablets. You can enjoy stunning waterfront views in the Royal Deck Tea Room, which also has it's own lift access.
Accessibility
The tour is fully accessible for wheelchair users with lifts and ramps throughout. Britannia is classed as Category 1, the highest level for wheelchair access without assistance, by VisitScotland. In order to enjoy the whole tour, wheelchairs should be no wider than 670mm. We have an audio handset tour in English, a printed version and Braille. For those with learning difficulties we also have an audio handset tour, available in English. We have an audio handset tour in English for those who are visually impaired. It has additional explanations on the layout of the Royal Yacht. Tablets are available with the Britannia tour in British and American Sign Language. The audio tour, tablets and scripts can be requested at the Handset Desk before you go on board the ship. Assistance dogs are welcomed on board. Measurements are as follows: Visitor Centre Door width: 900mm Distance from seat: 1500mm Seat height: 465mm Tea Room Door width: 1000mm Distance from seat: 1200mm Seat height: 465mm Sailing Exhibition Door width: 860mm Distance from seat: 1000mm Seat height: 490mm Gold level Door width: 800mm Distance from seat: 1200mm Seat height: 560mm Grey level Door width: 800mm Distance from seat: 1400mm Seat height: 510mm Please note, there is a slight slope in this toilet, due to the camber.
