Venue Description

One of the finest working stables in existence and a living part of Britain’s heritage, the Royal Mews is responsible for all road travel arrangements for The King and members of the Royal Family. The Mews staff and their families live on site.

Accessibility

The Royal Mews is accessible and we welcome visitors with different access requirements. Most of the site is outside, with some cover. The flooring is cobbled and uneven in places. Toilets

Accessible lavatories are located half way round the visitor route. A Changing space - a slightly smaller version of a changing place - is available.

Staff

Some staff have basic BSL and a number of wardens are dementia friends.

Assistance dog facilities

Assistance dog exercise facilities

Assistance dogs can exercise in Green Park, a 5-10 minute walk from the Royal Mews.

Other assistance dog facilities

All registered assistance dogs are welcome, wearing their designated jacket or lead slip. Non-registered dogs, and emotional support animals, are admitted at the discretion of staff on a case-by-case basis. Due to conservation concerns these animals cannot be guaranteed entry. Staff reserve the right to ask visitors to remove their animal if it is deemed not to be behaving appropriately. Arrangements will then be made for the visitor to return without their animal.
