Venue Description
The Regent Theatre was opened on 22 September 1999, having been fully restored to its previously elegant Art Deco style. Her Majesty the Queen officially opened The Regent Theatre in October 1999. As a number one touring venue, The Regent Theatre is capable of taking the largest touring productions and has already played host to the very best opera, dance, drama and musicals, direct from Broadway and the West End.Accessibility
There is lift access to all levels of the theatre from our foyer (with audible announcer). On arrival at the theatre there are 9 steps leading from the front doors to the theatre foyer. On the left on entering the doors we have a small lift suitable for wheelchair users and buggies. There are designated wheelchair spaces on both auditorium levels. Box Office, cloakroom and bars all have low level counters. We have an infra-red sound enhancement system in the auditorium. Guide, hearing and other working dogs are welcome in all parts of the theatre and we will provide water for them on request. There are access toilets on all levels.

The Regent Theatre hosts Accessible Performances for a number of shows, including a Touch Tour, Audio Description and BSL Interpreted.
Toilets
The Regent Theatre has accessible toilets in the Foyer, the Stalls Bar area and the Circle bar area. There is a lift to get to the different levels. All accessible toilets have wide door frames, easy turn locks and taps, and grab rails.
