Overview
Great visit to the best fish and chip cafe in Scotland! Great disabled parking right outside, gravel at outdoor table area difficult to access, but Owner addressing that. Staff super friendly and very disabled aware. The owner Sarah has a passion for access and inclusion that was palpable and alive, this blew my mind and made this lunch special
Transport & Parking
My PA drove her and I to Tyndrum to meet Sarah and have fish and chips. Got parked right at door and went up the ramp to enter. Guy at door gave us menus. Low down sink for washing boots and dogs and one for people to wash hands. Anti bacterial hand gels everywhere.
Access
The doors were already open when I arrived, so not automatic. Lots of room and space and my chair fit nicely under the table. Could get easily in and out.
Toilets
Did not use toilet but Sarah is desperate to get a Changing Places toilet.
Staff
Greeted by a smile and a menu at the car. Ewan came out to say hello and took us inside to meet Sarah. Amazing woman who wants her place very accessible. Colin the Manager sat and chatted with us. Felt really welcome and actually bowled over by Sarah’s exuberance for access. Friendly, disability aware staff and Manager.
