This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Powerchair
Overview
From the main road there are no dropped kerbs so the powered wheelchair needs to be kept on the road to enable entry to the Pleasance Grand. There is a bar that is not accessible due to being raised on decking with no ramp facing as soon as you get to the venue although there is another bar tucked in at the side in a bunker that has level access and is easily accessible but when busy could be problematic as it is quite small.
Transport & Parking
Parking near the venue may be difficult but there is on street Parking. As it is on a hill, it may, if possible, be best to get dropped off outside the venue. There are some buses that pass by but did not note which numbers.
Access
From the main road there are no dropped kerbs so the powered wheelchair needs to be kept on the road to enable entry to the Pleasance Grand. The staff are very helpful and if they see you in the wheelchair queuing to enter the venue they tend to take you past the crowd, up the ramp and get you seated first.
Toilets
There is a very large accessible toilet with grab rails at both sides.
Staff
The staff are very helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Once in the area of the Pleasance Grand before entering the building it is cobbled stone road so may be a bit bumpy. The show I went to see was Paul Merton Impro Chums. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it.
