Venue Description

The Moon is a rescued community-focused live music venue, bar, vegan cafe & club. We organise events 7 days a week including original live music of all genres, as well as quizzes, spoken word & poetry, comedy, music industry events, fundraisers, alldayers and small festivals. We open for food Fri-Sun and whenever there's a major event on in town like Wales games or concerts at the Millennium Stadium - around the corner from the stadium but perfect for avoiding the queues on the main high streets in a friendly atmosphere. Fridays & Saturdays we serve vegan brunch 11am-2pm as well as coffee, flavoured teas, hot chocolates, vegan cake - then dinner service is 4-8pm. Sundays we served vegan roasts 1-5pm which can be pre-booked on our website including a gluten-free option. We're an accessible venue (bronze level on the Attitude Is Everything charter) - our access statement is on our website along with details of how to get a free carer/support/assistance ticket for gigs. Our opening times vary through the week as we have different events on - so please check our website or follow us on social media where we post regular updates and information like opening/set times, whether it's a ticketed or free event etc. 10% student discount at the bar. Dogs welcome until it gets really crowded or noisy with live music (apart from assistance dogs of course who are always welcome). U18s are welcome when we're serving food, but most of our live shows are 18+ however please check because we sometimes do all-ages earlier events, so if you're planning on bringing someone u18 please doublecheck first. We're available to hire for parties, informal work events, networking, workshops, gigs, clubnights etc, just send us a message. We have an in-house team of sound engineers, DJs, fully equipped live music PA, backline, projector/screen, plenty of seating and tables for different event layouts. We also have a monthly event called Womanby's Clubbing which is an accessible disco for adults with additional needs - a safe, fun and inclusive disco for disabled adults organised by Skills & Volunteering Cymru. Details on our website.
