Overview
This is a fantastic wheelchair accessible art gallery and museum in the heart of Dundee. The building is stunning from the outside and just as impressive inside. Great cafe too!
Transport & Parking
I arrived in Dundee by public transport (train) and made my way around the city using a manual wheelchair with power assisted by a Batec. It was simple enough to get to the McManus from the train station. I did notice a couple of accessible parking bays in the forecourt of the McManus.
Access
I entered via the cafe entrance, which was very easy to find and offered level access. There were staff members on hand to help with any questions etc when entering.
Toilets
The accessible loo was easy to find and was spacious enough for me. It had a large changing table too, which some people may find useful.
Staff
The staff in the museum and cafe were fantastic. They helped make sure I was able to get an accessible seat in the cafe and answered any questions we had. Great service!
Anything else you wish to tell us?
You can book a table in the cafe if you are going as a large group. This is highly recommended as the cafe does get very busy.
