Located in a new purpose-built visitor centre in Galashiels, in the Scottish Borders an area which is rich history of textile-making. Here everyone will find something to explore and interest them. The Tapestry tells tales of Scotland’s history, heritage, innovations and culture. It narrates shared stories of struggles and ambitions, successes and failures, and searches for meaning and belonging. The Tapestry is one of the most ambitious community projects ever undertaken in Scotland: an artwork for the nation by the nation.
