Venue Description
The Grand Pavilion is a mid-scale 1930’s theatre serving Porthcawl, Bridgend and surrounding populations with a wide range of quality year round entertainment. It is committed to access for all. Situated on the seafront esplanade at Porthcawl the Grand Pavilion is a landmark venue and seats approximately 600 people. It is operated by Awen Cultural Trust with support from Bridgend County Borough Council. The venue prides itself in bringing a diverse range of drama, comedy, dance and musicals as well as its very popular pantomime.
Accessibility
Staff are always happy to assist with individual needs. The box office is on the ground floor with direct access from pavement street level by ramp with automatic door or two steps with hand rail. A passenger lift serves the box office with access from the lower ground floor and car park. The box office desk does not have a screen and our staff can be heard clearly. Signed and relaxed performances are available during the pantomime season - please check with box office for the dates.
Toilets
Toilets are step free with doors wide enough for a manual/power wheelchair. There are also grab rails and easy turn taps.
Staff
Staff are always happy to assist with individual needs. Front of house staff will be happy to assist disabled patrons meeting taxis after a performance.
