Venue Description

Deptford Lounge is an award-winning community hub with a range of services and facilities available for all to use. Situated in the heart of the community, Deptford Lounge is located on Giffin Square, just off Deptford's bustling high street, two minutes walk from step-free Deptford Station. With multiple bus routes, Deptford Lounge is an easy commute from anywhere in London.

Accessibility

The entrance to our building is easily accessible through our automatic door, where there are no steps or obstructions. All spaces on each level are fully accessible for wheelchair users with accessible toilets and shower facilities also avaliable. In the case of an emergency e.g. a fire, we have a chair lift that is provided to ensure the safety of the disabled person/s. The library on the ground floor is set out to provide wheelchair users enough space to comfortably manoeuvre around when using our facility.

Toilets

We provide a changing places key for disabled visitors to use upon their arrival. This accessible toilet also includes a height adjustable adult-sized changing bench and a mobile hoist. It provides adequate space in the changing area for the disabled person and up to two carers.
