The Coorie is a beautiful & modern self catering accommodation unit connected to the Glentrool Hive, an entirely volunteer led community enterprise in the heart of the Galloway Forest. By choosing to stay at the Coorie, you will be helping the Glentrool & Bargrennan Community Trust to keep the charming village of Glentrool living and viable. The Coorie can sleep up to 5 people, our double room contains an ample king size bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe. Our cosy single room has a large chest of drawers and vanity mirror. Added amenities include a double sofa bed in the lounge; an iron and ironing board; hair dryer and cool air fans. The Coorie boasts a spacious and bright lounge area which opens on to a private decking area. Linen and towels are provided for arrival, extra pillows and bedding, including those for the sofa bed are stored within the bedrooms. The kitchen is provided with a large fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, electric hob and cooker, washing machine and dining table and chairs. We can provide a travel cot and highchair on request. We accept dogs for an additional charge and provide a bed, blankets and dog poo bags, which we respectfully ask you use and dispose of responsibly. Secure bike storage is available at the Coorie. We also work in partnership with a local business to offer bike hire. The Coorie has access to an electric hook up for campervans and recently installed an electric vehicle charging point. The Coorie is fully accessible with a wheelchair accessible toilet and shower room. Prices start from £85.00 per night.
