Venue Description

The Cathedral stands in the heart of Sheffield, and serves the city, the Diocese of Sheffield, and the region. We are a community of Christians living locally and gathered from elsewhere, who are seeking to deepen our faith, respond to the gospel, care for one another, and provide a welcome for all who are searching for God. As a Cathedral, we are the Bishop’s church in the Diocese, and we aim to support our sistWe pray for the county, and offer hospitality for many laers and brothers in the Diocese of Sheffield in leading the mission of the Church of England throughout South Yorkshire. We pray for the county, and offer hospitality for many large services and other public events.

Accessibility

Following a major renovation project the Cathedral is now fully accessible to all people. Specifically, the entrance is now all on one level; and lifting platforms and stair-lifts have been installed.
