Venue Description

There's a little bit of everything here at Burton Street! Day to day we work with adults and children with learning and physical disabilities, which means our site is full accessible, fitted with ramps and changing spaces. But alongside our day to day sessions we also have a wide variety of facilities on site, such as a monthly restaurant, a cafe, conference rooms and room hire for parties (with a bar!), a recording studio, and fully accessible gym. At Burton Street our motto is 'Everyone has a part to play' and we strive to ensure that this is reflected in everything we do!

Accessibility

All doors- Push Pad, first floor- ramp around building, Burton Hall- 3 story lift, Capel building- Changing spaces. Site at slight gradient but pedestrian markings and walkways are in place.

Toilets

Accessible changing space toilets on site, door wide enough for mechanic and manual wheelchair, easy pull lock.

Staff

Learning disability staff trained in makaton, moving and handling, first aid, health and safety, fire safety, safeguarding, peg feeding, epilepsy training, positive behavior, care certificate. Please note not all staff carry this training, but most staff on site will be able to use makaton, and have health and safety, and fire training.
