The Beacon Museum presents the history, heritage and science of Copeland Borough, West Cumbria over three floors. Also a programme of temporary exhibitions throughout the year. A programme of events and activities runs alongside the exhibition porgramme so thre is alwasy something to do see and /or do. The Beacon Portal is available to hire for meetings, seminars, conferences, social occasions and community events. Cafe, museum shop, toilets, pay and display parking, free disabled parking

Free parking for blue badge-holders. Ramped access/level access throughout, automatic front door, low level reception desk, internal lift, accessible adapted toilets. Autism aware staff training underway.

Toilets
All toilets are step-free, including accessible, adapted toilets. Adapted toilets have drop down hand rails, space alongside for transfer from chair to toilet, emergency pull-cord alarms, easy turn taps.

All front of house staff undergo Disability Awareness training and a programme of Autism Awareness training has commenced.
