At the heart of the University of Edinburgh’s Old College, Talbot Rice Gallery is situated uniquely at the cross-roads of contemporary art, research and history. Working with challenging and inspirational artists, it presents exhibitions of international prominence, exposing ideas of value and interest to a diverse public in Scotland, while encouraging students to learn from an open organisational structure.
Accessibility
There is a level entrance to the gallery on West College Street with vehicle drop off point. Parking is available on Chambers Street. Wheelchair can be loaned at no cost. Portable seats available for comfort if walking around the gallery. All floors of gallery are accessible via standard or platform lifts.

Accessible Performances
As an Art Gallery we offer accessible events and workshops as opposed to accessible performances. During every show we offer an Amplified Curators Tour (using the loop system) as well as a combined tour and workshop aimed at visually impaired visitors (loop system available). Please contact the gallery for further information.
