Since 1897, Swansea's Grand Theatre has been providing the public with a broad range of cultural, artistic and general entertainment events.
Accessibility
The lift at Box Office provides access to all floors of the theatre including the Grand Circle in the main auditorium. There is level access for wheelchair users into the stalls and also into the Footlights Bar. Seating and spaces to accommodate wheelchair users and their companions are available in all of our performance spaces, including the stalls, Grand Circle and Arts Wing studio spaces. Our main auditorium is also fitted with a number of armless seats for easy access and transferring.

Accessible Performances
Relaxed Performances Our relaxed performances offer an opportunity for visitors with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, or learning/sensory needs, to enjoy top quality theatre in a friendly, relaxed and informal environment. We like to think of them as the opposite of a 'Quiet Carriage' of a train. The audience will be free to make noise or move around. In preparation for your visit, you may wish to contact us to organise a touch tour, or download a Visual Story of our venue. Stress Free Advance Booking Offer We know things don't always go to plan on the day, so we want to make it easy for you to book the best seats in advance in the most stress-free way possible. For all of our Relaxed Performances we offer a no-questions-asked refund policy right up until the moment the show starts. BSL Interpreted Performances We regularly programme British Sign Language interpreted performances for our most popular theatre productions. For recommendations of on the best seats for visibility of the interpretation, feel free to contact our box office. Audio Description We make sure that some of our best shows accessible to visually impaired visitors, by providing regular audio described performances. Dementia Friendly As part of our summer film series, we've handpicked a selection of titles to screen in an environment geared towards people living with dementia, with their families and carers.
