Based on the North East coast of Scotland, we are proudly Scotland's first adaptive and fully inclusive surf school, offering the worldโs most northerly surf therapy programme. SurfAble Scotland is a project provided by Friendly Access SC045029 ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐ณ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ took to the waves for the first time in 2017, with a mission to provide full access to surf therapy for everyone (aged 5 up), regardless of disability and condition. Our sessions consist of ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ ๐ด๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฝ๐ (๐๐ฆ๐ก), ๐ญ ๐๐ผ ๐ญ, and ๐ป๐ผ๐ป-๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ด๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฝ๐, so whatever your requirements, we have a session tailored to meet all your expectations and needs, including friends and family tickets for you all to share the experience. Surfing is all about having fun and adventure. Our team of instructors, coaches and volunteers are there to create the best experience for you to help achieve your surfing goals. Based in the Moray Firth, we mainly run sessions along our stunning coastline at Lossiemouth, Hopeman, Cullen and Sandend. ๐๐ฆ๐ก group sessions, for new, beginner or improving surfers. Support is available from our instructors, coaches and volunteers when required. Parents and carers are also welcome to accompany in the water to provide support. ๐ญ ๐๐ผ ๐ญ sessions, for new, beginner or improving surfers who would prefer individual tuition, with support if required. Parents and carers are also welcome to accompany in the water to provide support. ๐ก๐ผ๐ป-๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฑ group lessons (NEW for 2021), available for new, beginner or improving surfers who do not require additional support. Accessibility
We are accessibility driven and provide full access to surf adventure within our stunning coastline. We are equipped with beach wheelchairs, adaptive surfboards (including a tandem seated board), manual handling slings, etc. We currently operate as a mobile outfit and have use a of sports pavilion with disabled access/toilets/changing area at our Hopeman location if required. Please note this building does not a hoist installed. We are currently working towards providing a dedicated facility with full access changing place (including hoist) of our own.

Staff
We piloted an autistic surf school in 2015. In 2017, we proudly became fully adaptive. Our holistic approach in delivering our sessions means we are truly person-centred. We believe everyone is individual, which means we tailor every session to suit the requirements of our athletes. We refer to anyone who share their surf adventure with us as athletes, because no matter what their ability is, in our eyes we think that's pretty athletic.
