Sunny Bank Mills Gallery
Town Street, Leeds, LS28 5UJ, United Kingdom | 0113 2563239 ext 2 | WebsiteVenue Description
A cultural destination with a contemporary art gallery, growing studio artist community, creative courses and events. Creativity and culture are at the foundation of the regeneration of Sunny Bank Mills. In 2023 we celebrated 10 years of arts and culture at the Mills. Our unique industrial spaces inspire and engage through their history and that of their communities, both past and present. We showcase, support and sell the work of artists and makers from Yorkshire and beyond; investing in and developing the next generation of artists, makers and curators through a rolling programme of exhibitions, events, workshops and artists’ studios. Sunny Bank Mills Gallery is housed in the light and airy former cloth warehouse. Our exhibitions change every two months and include traditional art forms such as painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics and textiles alongside more contemporary media such as film. We are particularly proud of our annual Ones to Watch exhibition supporting emerging artists studying in or from Yorkshire.
