Getting Here

There are two railway stations in St Albans. St Albans City Station, Station Way, AL1 5HE is 1 mile away and is a 16 minute walk, or a short bus journey to the city centre and a 6 minute walk. St Albans Abbey Station, Holywell Hill, AL1 2DN is 300 metres away and is a 10 minute walk up a steep hill. Seating and covered waiting areas provided. Parking

There are three dedicated disabled parking spaces in Sumpter Yard (opposite the Chapel of Transfiguration) which are available for staff, volunteers and visitors with blue badges. These spaces can be pre booked through the Cathedral office on 01727 890202 (except Sundays where they will be used on a first come first served basis. Visitors will need to use the intercom on the gate in Sumpter Yard to gain access to the space on Sunday). Pre- booked disabled visitors will be issued with a pin code that will work for that day only. Disabled visitors may still be dropped off in Sumpter Yard.
