A bustling library situated in the heart of Shrewsbury, minutes away from the train station. Located in the former buildings of Shrewsbury School, this Grade 1 and 2 listed building has been a library since 1885. With books, newspapers, computers and events for all, there's something for everyone.
Accessibility
Access to the library is wheelchair accessible from School Gardens. There is a ramp to the main doors and automatic doors. There is a standard lift from the ground floor down to the basement level where the public toilet is and up to the Darwin room on the first floor. Riggs Hall on the ground floor can be accessed via a platform lift that a wheelchair can be pushed onto.
Toilets
The toilet is located at the basement level, there is a standard lift available from the ground floor. There are no steps and there are grab rails and an alarm.
