Venue Description
Serenity Cafe is a social enterprise cafe run by people in recovery. It welcomes visitors and the public, as well as people in recovery, their families and friends. The cafe and venue are both wheelchair accessible, with disabled loos. It is family friendly, with high chairs, toys and menu choices for children. The menu covers everything from coffee to full meals, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options (even vegan gluten free cake!). It is good value, and the staff and volunteers are very friendly!
Accessibility
The entrance is on a level with the street, which slopes gently down from the Royal Mile to Holyrood Road. Bollards prevent direct drop off at the door, but cars can reach within 10 meters of our door. The cafe has double doors and plenty of space to provide table seating for wheelchairs. The disabled loo is at the back of the cafe.
Accessible Performances
Our adjoining performance area is accessed through a separate door, with a further disabled loo on the performance space level.
