Let us take you on a fascinating journey through the original Victorian architecture of the oldest operating aquarium in the world from the coastline to the depths of the ocean. Discover a magical underwater world filled with a dazzling array of amazing creatures. Every step will reveal something new, from a face to face encounter with sharks to a hands-on rockpool experience.

Accessibility

The disabled access entrance is through the tunnel off the beach and can be accessed via the ramp to the beach next to Brighton Wheel. We have a disabled toilet. Only one area of the centre does not have full access, this is the auditorium. All talks which take place here are able to be heard in the tunnel which views the same display from underneath. Staff who present the talks will always leave via the tunnel, specifically to speak to any wheelchair users. Please note that there is a step that runs alongside some displays with a 70cm restriction.
