Venue Description

Ruchill Community Centre is managed by Glasgow Life on behalf of Glasgow City Council as a resource for the local community. Ruchill Community Centre can be used for a variety of community, social and commercial activities including meetings, small conferences, classes, clubs, birthday parties and social functions.

Accessibility

The main entrance has an easy grade ramp leading to a set of double doors from pavement. The double doors unfortunately are not automatic and have a ombined width of 1340mm. The main foyer area is spacious and has easily accessible access to all the rooms within the facility. The Main Hall is accessed via a large easy slope ramp. In this foyer is situated a single accessible toilet.

Toilets

The accessible toilet within Ruchill Community Centre has an access door width of 690mm, wash hand basin height of 920mm and toilet seat height of 530mm. There is a cord alarm installed in this toilet.

Experienced staff are always onsite to deal with any special requirements.

Assistance dog facilities

Assistance dog exercise facilities

Assistance dogs are welcome however there is no dedicated area for exercise around the facility. Ruchill Park is a public park area situated 200 yds along Bilsland Drive.
