Overview
Lovely day by the loch in the sunshine with our grandkids, browsing the wildflowers and beetles along the relatively flat path which runs the length of the loch (return journey about 5 km).
Transport & Parking
We were there on a busy day, dozens of grandparents with their grandkids, enjoying the last day of the school holidays. Despite this, we had no problem parking in a blue badge space, having travelled in our WAV.
Access
We called in on the visitor centre for a toilet break, gaining entry via an easy gradient ramp, through the adequately wide doors for my power chair, and were delighted with the comprehensively equipped and generously sized disabled toilet (including tracking hoist and changing couch).
Toilets
As above, Changing Places toilet is the correct description.
Staff
Staff were very helpful, and essentially all equipment required for watersports on the loch may be hired through the visitor centre (sailing/kayaking/paddle boarding).
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Lovely coffee, ice creams, and sandwiches are available to purchase and eat either inside (should inclement weather prevail), or as we did enjoyed alfresco. We have been before (through SIS charity barbecues) and visiting the RSPB site on the opposite shore of the loch. We will continue to use as a base mainly for visits/walks with grandkids.
